Sclerotherapy is where an injectable medication is injected into Spider Veins or Reticular Veins. The medication irritates the venous walls until the vein collapses so no blood can pass through. The vein will then be absorbed by the body and the blood will be diverted to a healthy vein. Results can take up to 8 weeks for Spider Veins and 3 months for Reticular Veins.
